PACK EXPO International Q&A with Parvalux

Q&A with | Parvalux

Tell us about your company.

Parvalux engineers high-performance geared motors, DC motors, and integrated drive solutions that power some of the world's most demanding OEM equipment. At the center of everything we do is motion. Not simply moving a machine, but enabling machine builders to achieve higher throughput, greater reliability, improved efficiency, and longer equipment life.

We partner with OEMs across packaging, intralogistics, material handling, industrial automation, mobility, and specialty equipment markets where torque density, durability, precision, and lifecycle performance are critical design considerations.

As automation becomes more intelligent and machine architectures become more compact, motion systems can no longer be viewed as standalone components. They must be engineered as part of the overall machine strategy. That's why many customers engage Parvalux early in the development process to help optimize performance, reduce risk, and create solutions tailored to the application's specific requirements.

Rather than forcing a machine design around a standard motor, we focus on delivering the right motion solution for the machine's intended performance and operating environment.

Your company will be exhibiting at PACK EXPO International. What makes this an important event for your company?

PACK EXPO sits at the intersection of innovation, automation, and manufacturing excellence.

The packaging industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation driven by labor challenges, sustainability initiatives, e-commerce growth, and increasing demand for production flexibility. Machine builders are being asked to deliver more throughput, faster changeovers, greater uptime, and smaller equipment footprints, often simultaneously.

Many of these challenges ultimately come down to motion performance.

PACK EXPO provides a unique opportunity to meet directly with OEMs, machine designers, and system architects who are shaping the future of packaging automation. These conversations offer valuable insight into emerging trends, evolving machine requirements, and where the industry is investing next.

For Parvalux, it's an opportunity to move beyond product discussions and collaborate on the engineering challenges that will define the next generation of packaging equipment.

What makes your booth a must-visit for PACK EXPO attendees?

Most suppliers talk about products.

We'd rather talk about what's next.

Packaging is rapidly evolving toward more intelligent, connected, and flexible automation. As machine builders rethink how equipment is designed, motion systems are playing an increasingly important role in enabling higher throughput, predictive maintenance, robotics integration, and more compact machine architectures.

At our booth, attendees can engage directly with engineers who understand the real-world challenges of modern machine design and who are helping OEMs solve complex motion problems every day.

Whether you're designing a new packaging platform, improving an existing machine, or exploring future automation concepts, we'll be discussing how advanced motion solutions can help unlock performance, reliability, and competitive advantage.

For us, the most valuable conversations aren't about motors. They're about engineering what's next.

PACK EXPO has many educational sessions, forums, and demos. Is your company involved in any of them this year?

This year, our primary focus is engaging directly with customers and industry professionals on the exhibition floor.

That said, the educational content at PACK EXPO consistently provides valuable perspective on where packaging technology is heading. Topics such as intelligent automation, robotics, digitalization, predictive maintenance, and workforce adaptation are influencing equipment design across the industry.

These discussions help shape how manufacturers think about machine architecture, operational efficiency, and future investment priorities.

For Parvalux, understanding those trends is essential because motion remains a foundational technology enabling many of these innovations.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what are you most interested in seeing?

One of the most valuable aspects of PACK EXPO is seeing where the next wave of manufacturing innovation is taking shape.

We're particularly interested in the technologies helping machine builders deliver greater flexibility, higher productivity, and more intelligent automation. That includes advancements in robotics, AI-enabled machine optimization, autonomous material handling, digital connectivity, and next-generation motion control.

What excites us most isn't any single technology. It's how these technologies are converging to create smarter, more adaptive production environments. Packaging equipment is evolving from standalone machines into connected systems capable of making faster decisions, improving uptime, and responding dynamically to changing production demands.

PACK EXPO offers a unique opportunity to see these innovations operating in the real world and to understand how manufacturers are translating emerging technologies into measurable business value.

For Parvalux, it's also a chance to learn from the industry's most forward-thinking engineers and machine builders. The ideas shaping the future of packaging often emerge at the intersection of automation, motion, robotics, and data, and PACK EXPO is one of the best places to see that future taking shape.

AI will be a huge topic. How is your company's products and services utilizing AI within the packaging industry?

AI is shifting the conversation from machine automation to machine intelligence.

Through technologies like maxon MiND, motion systems are becoming connected sources of real-time operational data, helping manufacturers predict maintenance needs, improve uptime, and optimize equipment performance.

As packaging systems become smarter, motion is no longer just about movement. It's about generating insight, enabling predictability, and supporting more autonomous operations.

The manufacturers that successfully combine AI, connected motion, and predictive analytics will gain a significant advantage in productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for robotics and automation within the packaging industry?

From our perspective, the future of packaging automation is about making machines smarter, more flexible, and easier to maintain.

We're seeing increasing demand for robotics, AI-driven optimization, predictive maintenance, and connected systems that help manufacturers maximize uptime while adapting to changing production requirements.

What's particularly exciting is the emergence of technologies like maxon MiND, which are turning motion systems into sources of real-time operational intelligence. Instead of simply driving movement, motors can now provide valuable insights into machine health, helping manufacturers identify issues before they impact production.

That said, no matter how advanced automation becomes, reliability will always be the foundation. The most successful packaging systems will combine intelligent software, connected motion, and proven engineering to deliver consistent performance day after day.

The future isn't just automated. It's connected, predictive, and built around smarter motion.
